Let me hide in a cave somewhere where I will not be able to read the news.

Hello Globe Muncher readers!

I was meant to post a café review today but out of respect for the victims of the London Bridge attacks last night, I am going to postpone it to Wednesday. London Bridge is such an importance place to me because not only I lived close by, I was based in Guy’s Hospital throughout my time at King’s and spent days (and nights!) at New Hunt’s House library next to Guy’s Hospital during coursework/dissertation season, not to mention taekwondo training at Guy’s campus and hanging out with the crew at the London Bridge area after training. Not only that, Borough Market holds personal importance to me as a foodie and it is the one place I always bring tourist friends to if time allows it. For this horrible incident to occur at a place so close to home and so dear to me is just shocking.

My heart goes out to the family and friends of the victims involved, may there be comfort for the grieving hearts and quick healing for those that are injured. Stay strong, London.

London has seen better days like this one.

Mel x
