Hi everyone!

First of all MASSIVE APOLOGIES for the MIA!!! :( :( :( I was gone for a whole month, I know, I just got a bit overwhelmed with stuff and never got round to finishing some of the posts I meant to post! So I do apologise for that!

So I am back with my food reviews, but this time round, instead of writing notes as I eat and then writing a post on the blog retrospectively, I decided to try something new and went ahead with a...

MUKBANG 먹방!!!!!

For the uninitiated, mukbang in Korean literally means "eat + broadcast", so you're basically eating on the Internet, whether live or recorded, and people just... watch you eat. It sounds weird, but in this day and age, mukbangs are a source of company or comfort for people who live and eat their meals alone because people tend to watch them during mealtimes (sounds a bit dystopian, but let's save that for another time. I'm thinking of including a new segment soon! More on that later.) But hey, the wonders of the Internet! Connecting people all around the world.

This is my first ever attempt with a mukbang so please do forgive the amateur skillzzzz! This is all experimental and work in progress!

Today on my mukbang I review the McDonald's Spicy Korean Burger (you probs have seen the ads, you know, the ones that start out all Korean drama-y before you realise it is a McDonald's ad) and the Criss Cut Chips! In summary, they're great but not quite expected, watch to find out why!

So I mentioned earlier about starting a new segment: I have been thinking about starting a segment on the blog called "Food for Thought" (this is a working title, but I quite like it so far), where I discuss and express thoughts about, well, things that are going on. I haven't quite expanded on this idea, everything is still quite abstract and vague, but you guys know I am not very good in my commitment which I really need to work on (I have a fear of commitment guys), so I really need to plan a time to sit down and think about it! If my mukbang becomes a regular thing, I am going to come up with a better name for it too.

Meanwhile, hope you enjoy the mukbang and see you guys soon!

Mel x
